Working on behalf of Kingmoor Park Properties Ltd, Harlex were selected as the Development Manager for the delivery of a new 82acre Industrial and Logistics development project in Carlisle. The wider estate comprises a 400acre site is home to over 150 businesses in 2 million sq.ft of industrial office and warehouse space, employing some 2,500 people, including DPD, UPS, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Story Homes, and Thomas Graham. Located adjacent to Junction 44 of the M6, Kingmoor Park is well positioned for road, rail and port links both north to south and east to west.
On behalf of our funding partner, Harlex has assembled the professional, marketing and letting teams; submitted a detailed planning application for the first phase of works and completed a pre-letting to DPD for a new bespoke parcel delivery facility. The next phase of the project will include the submission of an outline masterplan application for a further c900,000sq.ft of Industrial and Logistics development. Works are due to commence on site in August 2022 with the delivery of the DPD facility and will be completed in July 2023. Working with the letting agents and marketing team, Harlex is looking to attract further local, national and international occupiers to the site, thereby ensuring the long term success of the project for the owners Kingmoor Park Properties.
